At OSS we are currently utilizing two different standardized assessment tools to measure and monitor student progress: the Stanford Achievement Test, 10th Edition and the Group Reading Assessment and Diagnostic Evaluation (GRADE)/Group Mathematics Assessment and Diagnostic Evaluation (GMADE), all commercially published through Pearson Education.
- The Stanford 10 is administered once annually in the late spring to all students in each grade. Answer sheets are sent away to Pearson for scoring, and score reports are returned to the school in mid-summer.
- OSS also tests students with the GRADE (reading) and GMADE (mathematics) tests which are administered three times per school year (fall, winter, spring) using alternating test forms. Answer sheets are scored on-site using the Pearson scoring and reporting software program.
