Volunteer Possibilities
Evening Study Tutors
(Monday - Thursday 5:00PM - 6:30PM) - which involves supporting students as they finish their homework before leaving for the day. Schedule is weekly.
Office Reception/Administrative Support
(Monday - Thursday 7:30AM - 6:30PM, Friday 7:30AM - 5:00PM)- which involves helping office staff with various administrative projects, answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, and light typing. Schedule is flexible.
World Language Tutors
Involves a once a month commitment to help a student or students practice their conversation skills in any of the following languages. Spanish, Chinese, French, and Portuguese. Schedule is for Wednesday afternoons during class time.
Music Mentors
(Monday -Thursday 5:00PM - 6:00PM)- which involves teaching a group of no more than 3 students, for 30 minute sessions during evening study beginner instrument skills in – violin, piano/keyboard, flute, trumpet, and saxophone. Schedule is once a week.
Library
Involves helping catalogue and shelve books. Schedule is flexible.
After School Athletic Coaches
(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:45PM - 4:45PM) - which involves coaching a sport. Past examples have been basketball, soccer, cross-country, rollerblading - or any other sport you might be interested in coaching! Schedule is a 12 week time period, one or two days a week.
Volunteer to help the Director of Development
Involves helping with database cleanup, mailings, filing and other related tasks. Schedule is flexible.
