The following is a “wish list” of items that would allow the OSS girls and staff to more adequately support the current needs and future growth of our school. Some of these items have a price point, while others will require further research once a donor has been established. Uniforms
- Additional uniforms: shirts @ $20 per student, sweatshirt @ $25 per student
- Sports uniforms
Classroom
- Wooden cubbies for 7th & 8th grade classrooms: $1,300 per grade
- Installation of paddle fans in all classrooms and offices with speed switch
Sports Equipment
- Shin guards for soccer & field hockey $10 per pair, $150 per class
- Helmets in assorted sizes for rollerblading 16 units enough for one class
- Knee Pads and elbow pads in assorted sizes 16 pairs of each, enough for one class
- Soccer balls (size 5) & basketballs $25 each (we’d like 8 of each for pair
- (2) Field size Soccer Goals ($1,600 each)
Enrichment Programs
- Line painting in parking lot to include: basketball court, and four-square
- Tickets to School Time Performances at the Zeiterion $8 per student per class, $240 for the school
- Field Trip tickets to Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, or Aquarium
- Transportation to outside events and programs: $100/local, $300/Boston or Providence
Teachers
- New or gently used refrigerator for storing teacher lunches
- Auto mechanic services to repair teacher vehicles
- New or gently used furniture for teacher house. Beds, bureaus, computer desks, sofas & chairs, dining room furniture
- Household goods; new sheets, towels, curtains, bathroom rugs, etc.
Technology
- Electrical wiring and Ethernet wiring for computer lab and staff offices
- Wireless internet for the entire school
- New laptop computers for eighth grade classroom
Musical Instruments including:
- 6 Flutes - can be used but in working condition
- Drum set
- 8 guitars best if they are all Yamaha C-40 jumbo fret classical guitar @$90.00 each
- Music lessons
- Upright piano and a volunteer to tune it
- Used keyboards, Yamaha or Casio
- Violins - 16 count full sized with bows and cases
- 8 clarinets - can be used but in working condition
Outside
- Outdoor Storage Shed for sports equipment: $1,000
- Landscaping and sports field maintenance
- Security Camera System
Library
- Rolling cart for Library: $600
Signage/Tenting
- Portable presentation screen $500
- Banners for special events: (2) $250
- (1) Tent/canopy for outside events: $500
- Outside awning to provide coverage from parking area to school entrance
