Our Admisisons Process

  • To learn more about Our Sisters’ School and see if it is a good fit, join us for an introduction to OSS. Hear from our Head of School and OSS families about curriculum, our unique school day, summer programs, the admissions process, and more! Families will receive a tour of our school led by Student Ambassadors.

    As part of our admissions process, each student completes a 45-minute Academic Snapshot.

    Families will also be asked to sign a transcript release form.

    If you haven’t done so already, please complete an inquiry form to start the admissions process.

  • As part of our admissions process, each student takes an Academic Snapshot. Students may complete the 45-minute Snapshot during their campus visit. The Snapshot includes a writing sample, some math questions, and a reading response.

    Students who are not available to complete the Snapshot during their campus visit should schedule an alternate day and time with the OSS Admissions Coordinator.

  • Our Sisters' School is a tuition-free school serving students from families who meet our financial eligibility guidelines. Your family may qualify if either of the following applies:

    • Your household's gross annual income is within OSS's financial eligibility guidelines, based on household size (see the chart here); or

    • Your household currently receives or qualifies for an income-based public assistance program, such as Fuel Assistance, SNAP, WIC, or subsidized housing.

    Families who do not meet our financial eligibility guidelines may not be eligible to apply to OSS.

    As part of the online application, families will need to provide contact information for current and former teachers so we may get in touch with them for recommendations.

    Prospective students will be interviewed by the Head of School and an admission’s team member. Expect an hour-long conversation that will include questions for both the student and their adult(s).

    If you would like a translator to be present for the interview, please communicate your request in advance.

  • Following a completed application and submission of all required materials including academic transcripts, teacher recommendations, financial eligibility, and the Academic Snapshot, the OSS Admissions Committee will review all parts of the application.

    Students whose applications move forward will be invited for an interview. We will consider students whose applications are incomplete or for whom we need more information at a later time.
