Position Overview
Our Sisters’ School (OSS) is seeking a passionate, creative, and student-centered Full-Time or Part-Time STEM Educator to join our team.
This educator will design and facilitate engaging STEM learning experiences for middle school girls, fostering curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about hands-on learning, equity in education, and empowering young scholars in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and lead interactive STEM lessons aligned with OSS’s academic and enrichment goals
Facilitate hands-on projects, experiments, and problem-based learning activities
Support students in developing STEM skills, including inquiry, collaboration, and persistence
Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and risk-taking
Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate STEM across the curriculum where appropriate
Track student engagement and provide feedback to support growth
Assist with STEM-related events, showcases, or clubs as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in a STEM field or education-related field
Experience working with middle school students, preferably in an educational or youth development setting
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching practices
Ability to make STEM accessible, engaging, and relevant to diverse learners
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time or full-time
Schedule may include afternoons and/or select program days
Compensation: $55,000 for full time, including benefits
