About

Maia Shwartz joined Our Sisters’ School as Finance and HR Director in the summer of 2025. She moved to Dartmouth, MA, from Portland, OR, in 2017 and holds both a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in public administration (MPA) from Portland State University. Originally on a veterinary track, Maia discovered that nonprofit management and finance were a better fit for her skills and passions.

With more than 15 years of nonprofit management experience, Maia has worked with several local organizations, including YMCA Southcoast and the Buttonwood Park Zoological Society.

When she’s not working at OSS to maximize efficiency and impact, Maia enjoys playing outside with her kids, hiking with her dogs, and planning her family’s next big adventure. She lives in Dartmouth with her husband, four children, two dogs, one cat, and a rotating flock of chickens.
