Weekly Update: October 2, 2026
We are opening enrollment for our fall season SPARK session.
Please share this link with families who may have a candidate for this opportunity.
On September 25, OSS Student Council members came together from 3:00–9:00pm for an evening of connection, leadership, laughter, and planning. Students learned more about one another, explored their leadership strengths, practiced our Community Core Tools, and envisioned how they can make a positive difference at OSS.
Bringing students together across grades created space for their voices, ideas, and perspectives to help shape the school year. The evening included prototyping a Community Core Tool Fashion Show, inventing new appreciation prompts, collaborative team challenges, and planning for the year ahead. We celebrated the unique strengths and ideas each student brings to our community.

In response to the City of New Bedford’s Board of Election Commissioners invitation, OSS students participated in a design challenge to illustrate I Voted logos to be used around the city and two of our designs were selected. When YOU go to vote, look for these stickers to proudly wear!
