Busy bees….gardening, cooking, sailing, building, learning. Check it all out below…
Our Wellness classes and our Outdoor Classroom work is productive - and we’ve got a massive turnip to prove it!
Below you can see harvesting in action - who knew there was food in that dirt?! You can admire our bounty, and our students preparing healthy and delicious food with their very own produce! It is a glorious month of October at OSS.
When not in the garden, you know that we are often on the water… and look at that fantastic Wampanoag Mishoon!
Thursday night we had 40 people gather in the Community Room for a STEAM-y construction event. Fueled by curiosity and tasty snacks, we built headphones, flashlights and even a hydraulic claw!
Earlier in the week all of our students traveled to Bridgewater State University to conduct science and engineering labs. 5th grade created sail-cars that were tested in a wind tunnel. 6th grade learned about BSU’s green parking lots and used micropipettes and photospectrometers to test for phosphorus. 7th grade solved genetics puzzles in a biology lab, and 8th grade studied cybersecurity.
NEW social media platform…
OSS is officially on Tik Tok! In an effort to share more of daily life at OSS, we have launched our page @OurSisters_School. From spirit days to highlighting students achievements, we hope to give our broader community a glimpse of what we love about OSS.
